The S-boom telescopic booms made by Genie have been equipped with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access tight areas during industrial and construction jobs. They are also recognized for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, which goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs which were previously unreachable by standard jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 model gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature enables over and up reaching tasks to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also provides the Fast Mast system that allows for valuable time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms need to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be elevated fully simultaneously. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features reduces the time required for users to descend and ascend, increasing production and efficiency.
