Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
Motion alarms and backup alarms are audio device accessories that produce enough sound so that the sound is heard overtop the noises produced from the forklift itself.
The sound has to be readily distinguishable from other audible devices or sounds within the work setting. Sound must be readily distinguishable from other noise or audible devices in the work place. The audible device can employee noise exposure and end up contribute to OSHA noise limitation; thus, care has to be taken.
Hearing protection makes it really harder to hear the audible device and to determine what direction and distance it is coming from. Audible devices could occasionally get disabled from workers and operators because they can find them irritating. Moreover, audible devices could also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They utilize tempered glass in order to avoid injuries. In addition, these cabs feature an emergency exit via window removal. Noise levels are lessened at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For each particular application, the operator is able to choose the performance need. Furthermore, it enables a supervisor to set the maximum performance of a unit for an operator who is just learning. Being able to lessen and adjust the model's maximum performance enables a new operator to learn the operating features of the equipment in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor deactivates the model and when this occurs, it needs a supervisor to re-enable and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machine in a more controlled way.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the tail swing area, as well as the operating environment behind the truck.
