Peiner's design philosophy has continually revolved around the idea of making grabs which handle the biggest volume instead of grab dead weight. Normally, the grab and bucket lifting ratio's meaning that 60 percent of material is dead weight vs. 40 percent grab dead weight. This means transporting more quantities of supplies faster. There is less wear and tear on the crane structure and its related components. By combining manufacturing with innovative design and high quality materials, the desirable weight ratio is obtained.
