Narrow Aisle Forklift
A narrow aisle forklift is designed for lifting and lowering loaded pallets from high storage spaces. This particular kind is suitable for work places with narrow spaces between aisles, like warehouses or retail environments. The forklift has small, solid rubber tires which make maneuvering really easy.
The operator of this kind of forklift generally stands up within a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as narrow ans short as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift usually has three tires: two in the front, and one in the rear. This design enables for easy and fast maneuvering. There are several versions of these forklifts that come with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment can pivot to the sides, permitting the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the entire equipment. The sit-down version usually has four wheels.
Numerous narrow aisle forklifts are powered by an electric engine. Electric-powered machinery do not make exhaust fumes and are not noisy, making them the suitable option for closed places such as retail spaces. Several lifts come with a diesel engine or a gas engine. Nevertheless, the diesel model is not recommended to be used indoors because it can be quite noisy and produce exhaust.
